The purpose of Ekhagastiftelsen (Ekhaga foundation) is to contribute to better public health by supporting the development of healthy foods, natural medicines, natural healing methods and healthy lifestyles.

Ekhagastiftelsen was founded by Gösta Videgård in 1944 and since then we support scientific research in

• organic agriculture as well as quality, preparation and storage of food and foodstuffs
• nutrition and way of life
• complementary and alternative medicine.

We are the largest foundation in Sweden supporting scientific research within our focus areas. Every year we award between 25 and 30 million Swedish Krona to different projects. During the past 25 years we have given over 270 million Swedish Krona in more than 400 grants.
