Terms for grants

The following terms and conditions apply to grants awarded by Ekhagastiftelsen:

Ekhagastiftelsen awards a grant through a grant letter. It is through the grant letter that the foundation commits itself to funding a project according to the application. We do not sign any special contract with the grant recipient, even if so requested by the recipient.

The grant recipient confirms acceptance of the grant and our terms and conditions by sending a confirmation to our grant letter.

For a grant, the grant recipient must follow the reporting rules of Ekhagastiftelsen. If reporting requirements are not met, the foundation may request repayment of funds. An approved annual report is a requirement for payment of continued funds for a multi-year grant. See the Reporting page for detailed information.

Ekhagastiftelsen can pay out up to 80% of the annual grant amount before we have received reporting. The remaining 20 % can not be paid out until the foundation has received and approved the annual or final report. For larger grants, payments can be made per four-month or six-month period. Detailed information regarding payment of funds can be found on the Payment of funds page.

If not all funds have been used by the end of the project, any remaining funds paid out must be refunded to Ekhagastiftelsen. Funds not requested within 2 years from end of project will be reused for other projects.

The grant recipient approves that Ekhagastiftelsen may publish the applicants name and summary project description as well as project reports on the foundation website. All other information will be handled confidentially and not shared with third parties without the approval of the grantee.

Results from the project are the property of the managing body. Ekhagastiftelsen makes no claims to results from the project other than reporting according to our requirements. If the project wishes to keep information that is to be included in reporting confidential, the foundation can approve this upon request. In publications the project should mention Ekhagastiftelsen as project sponsor.

By submitting an application the applicant approves that Ekhagastiftelsen can process necessary personal data in accordande with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the foundation's Privacy Policy.
